This will be the Border around the quilt. Each of the 4 Corners will be a large heart Appliqued on using a Red Zig-Zag Stitch. The Hearts down the sides of the quilt are smaller Hearts. I ended up getting almost 200 squares of fabric, and over a 100 wishes for the quilt, so I have a lot of fabric to incorporate. 

I am posting the progress of the quilt at this site so people can see how things are going with the quilt. So far things have been going quite well. The quilt pattern is a basic 9 patch, I added the white fabric to break up some the business of the fabrics. I knew that with so many colors I would need to have a little bit of neutral to keep things evened out. I have put in a red sashing to represent the red thread proverb. I will also be adding appliqued hearts around the border with my remaining fabrics, the heart will also have red thread zig-zag. My thought pattern is that the nine-patch represents the hugs and the hearts will represent kisses and the red thread is how we are conected. I hope that everyone like it so far.
